Hardwood Background Stamp + Eastern Medallion Thinlit = Sunflower

I saw a similar idea to this on Pinterest so I just had to CASE it!

Of course, the fun comes in "tweaking" projects you come across, so I did 

just that-- and switched the brown center, the leaves and the colors a bit  :)

Here is my color combo:

Chocolate Chip, Garden Green, Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry & White

I used the "Dragonfly Dreams" Stamp Set for the sentiment & the dots on the leaves.

Of course the "Hardwood" Stamp was used for the background as already mentioned.

The 2 leaves were made from the smallest Layering Ovals Framelits.

I cut them out, stamped the dots & then scored them in the middle to fold for added depth.

Both the white and green layers for the stem were cut free hand (yes, I'm that good!) haha

The Eastern Medallion Thinlits were used for the sunflower along with a Circle Framelit Die.

The Softly Falling Embossing Folder made the dots in the brown circle.

I used some Linen Thread (doubled) to finish off this card.  I hope you enjoy it.

The Sun Is Setting on this Years' Occasions Catalog......take a last look at "Perfect Mix"

This card swap was made by Kelly Irish of Peoria, IL

She used the stamp set called "Perfect Mix" from the Occasions Catalog.

This set will NOT be in the new Annual Catalog.

I believe this card was made by my friend and downline Bonnie Alexander.

From the Occasions Catalog (pg. 51) she used the Falling In Love paper & the Very Vanilla Ribbon.

Bonnie also used the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits which I'm happy to report, made it to the new catty!!

Salute to This Retiring Favorite-- Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper w/ Dragonfly Dreams

This very cool fun fold card was made by Gayle K. of Washington, IL

The Night of Navy and White Designer Paper Pack (Floral Boutique) is probably my 

most favorite paper from the current Annual Catalog.

Great news though.......drumroll please......

This same paper pack of beautiful designs will be in the brand new catalog in June!!

That's right, this paper has been made into the 5 new In Colors that are coming soon!!

I hate to see the Night of Navy go away but--

Can't wait for some more of this paper in different colors.  Happy Dance  :)

Stampin' Tuesday Trick #3- Coloring with Bleach

FEATURING THE 3RD VIDEO IN MY NEW SERIES FOR 2017

There are 3 card projects in this video that I used the bleaching technique on.  Here is the pocket card sample below, and I will show the other 2 "still photos" tomorrow.  Check back then!

This dragonfly card was super fun to make.  A couple years back, I had made one similar with fall leaves so I thought these 3 dragonfly dies would be a possibility now.  Have I mentioned how much I LOVE this Dragonfly Dreams Bundle?

Color Scheme:  Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake, and White

I used a marker to highlight the word "friend" from the Dragonfly Dreams Stamp Set.  I also used the Classic Label Punch on the front bottom corner.  (cut the right side flush to card)  The inside sentiment- You're The Best comes from the "All Things Thanks" Stamp Set. (Occasions Catalog)

Also, I used a couple retired candy dots on the top right corner.  (I wanted something chocolate chip and those are all I could find).

Dragonfly Dreams plus One Cent = A Penny Spinner Card....COOL!!

Notice the "track" in the middle and the position of the dragonfly that appears to move?

Well, this is a fun "Penny Spinner" card made by my friend (and demo) Kim B. of Hennepin, IL

You probably can't tell by the pics but Kim used Clear Wink of Stella on the Dragonfly wings.

She also used the Blossom Bunch Punch for the 4 little flowers at the top and bottom.

It's been awhile since I've made a spinner card myself, but it sure is fun to receive one!

I just love to sit and play and watch (in this case) the dragonfly move around.....

I know-- I'm very easily entertained apparently!  LOL

Sale-A-Bration 2017 Freebie- "Inside The Lines" Designer Series Paper x 2 Cards

Personally, I'm not big on coloring but this special paper looks good either way!

I used the Layering Square Framelits here to cut out a pc. from the bottom layer.

Then I did use markers to color that pc. and layered it with the Stitched Framelits.

On this card, I did not color the paper at all.

I used the dotted stamp from the Dragonfly Dreams Set to add some color on both corners.

I really love this stamp set and this paper used together!!  :)

Stampin' Tuesday Trick #1- Foil Sheet Sanding w/ Dragonfly Dreams

USE A SANDING BLOCK TO ROUGH UP GOLD AND SILVER FOIL SHEETS (ANTIQUE/FAUX METAL).  WATCH THIS VIDEO TO SEE HOW EASY IT IS TO DO!!  SAND THE FOIL SHEET FIRST, AND RUN YOUR DIE WITH THE SANDED PC. THROUGH THE BIG SHOT SECOND.

I made this card using the Dragonfly Dreams Stamp Set and dies.  The Occasions Catalog paper called "Falling In Love" was also used here.

Hopefully, you will be able to see the cool technique used on the Gold Foil Sheet.

Here I used the "So In Love" Stamp Set and the Swirly Scribbles Dies.

Sheryl used different shades of green for the color and also textured the paper w/ the 

Petal Burst Embossing Folder and the Big Shot.

Of course the ever popular Dragonfly Dreams from the Occasions Catalog was used as well.

I made this card when I went to the November On-Stage event in WI.

I added a layer of Pear Pizzazz Card Stock when I got home & assembled my card.

The "Inside The Lines" Designer Series Paper was colored in partially with the new

Watercolor Pencils (pg. 24- Occasions Catalog)

The words on this card came from the Dragonfly Dreams also.

Color or not to color?  That is the question.

This layer of  "Inside The Lines" Designer Series Paper was NOT colored.

I simply stamped a dragonfly in real red and cut it out for this card.

On this card, I did add a bit of color for the bee and flower.

The colors are black, white, and crushed curry.

The sentiment comes from the new "All Things Thanks" Stamp Set
